We are a collective hailing from the state of Wisconsin focusing on the intersection of paradigm shifts and ‘Pataphysics. We created an OSR TTRPG module to express the this intersection.
DOMO PLUUME is a modular open world low technology science fiction tabletop role-playing game with horror and mystery elements set in a post-apocalyptic timeline. This module uses collaborative world building mechanics from Dadaist pedagogical asset creation, multiple game masters with an intermediary, and speculative design with consensual imagination. Please note that DOMO PLUUME will shape you as you shape it. "PATADIGM" hereby asserts their right to be identified as the creator of DOMO PLUUME.
This module could be used as a manual for imagination cultivation or community building or healing or as a paradigm shift. It is all and could be none. Foremost, this text is yours. Yes, DOMO PLUUME is your world just as it is ours.
We offer DOMO PLUUME as a medium for the aims of this program:
Having fun
Narrative speculative design
Consensual imagination
Direct democracy
Ethical landscape
Moral playground
Community building
Detouring alienation
On how to circumnavigate a utopian present even though experiencing a dystopian past
Contingent ecology
Do what shall wilt under the guides of the program.
DOMO PLUUME is presented as fiction but should not be stated as intentional escape. Precisely, fiction is not materially here because it has not been done. Time travel or what might be philosophically argued as “time travel” is possible. Yet, how we act and interpret situations is where DOMO PLUUME shines. We analyzed that the current tendency in our life limits our imagination and we hold DOMO PLUUME above our heads as the sun is to a leaf. This text will help with imagination. The future could be DOMO PLUUME but who is to say it is? We are more focused on entrenching ourselves in this certain mythological landscape for the playing of the unknown which will generate potent creation.
Think of it as Schrödinger’s cat, which states the possibility of alternative futures since there could be a dead cat in the box or an alive one. How could we know till we experience it? Yet, has it ever occurred that maybe the cat becomes aggressive due to being locked in a box and losing their connection to nature or is in a coma? How do you react to that? Yet, it is never asked in an ethical context? Or what happens next?
This is the point of DOMO PLUUME, to not just ponder quantum mechanics or metaphysics but to act within a char(act)er of your own creation. To make inferences, ethical decisions, love others, motives, and so on while creating a safe and respectful community.
